"... and healing every disease and sickness among the people... And people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them."

(Mt 4,23-24)

Jesus heals even today - through His Church, who listens to the needs of the people who turn to her for help. The pastoral services include spiritual accompaniment and prayer for the people who are mourning or being mistreated by the evil spirit. This merciful service of the Church consists of prayer for the person concerned and of supporting him or her to build a living relationship to Jesus Christ and life based on Christian principles.

The good news for all is that Jesus Christ finally defeated the evil spirit. And in Christ man can defeat it as well.

The words from Father bishop:

Dear brothers and sisters, site visitors,

I am very glad to welcome you to the web pages that the Catholic Church has prepared forus all. Sin and the act of evil spirit have been present in mankind since the beginning ofhuman existence. Although the mysterium iniquitatis (the mystery of evil) is incomprehensibleto us, the evil´s presence is a reality we meet, unfortunately, only too often on this earth. One form of harming people is the action of the evil spirit on the psyche and body of man.We encounter it very often in Holy Scripture. Jesus gave His apostles the power to freepeople from this evil act with the words "cast out evil spirits" (Mt 10,8).We realize that we have a responsibility for all those who are looking for help from demonicoppression or from an outright possession. Unfortunately, cases of being possessed by anevil spirit are on the increase today. People get interested in magic, various occult rituals, and satanism. These evil paths are commonly accessible on the Internet, and so their reach is far greaterthan it has ever been. The Church in our country tries to respond to this situation with theprovision of proper exorcists and by educating the believers. May this page also helpeveryone to get acquainted with this issue or find a Catholic exorcist closest to their homes. But on the other hand, let us also be careful, let´s not attribute any mental or health problemto the evil spirit, let us bear in mind that Christ has already defeated the devil. Beforeanybody turns to an exorcist, he or she needs to be examined by a doctor - an expert. Onlywhen these say they are at a loss, can an investigation begin as to whether there really issome influence of the evil spirit at play. The trust of the affected person is of paramountimportance. The Church acts by Christ's power, and the devil always ends up beingdefeated. For Christ gave the apostles and their successors, the bishops (and these to thepeople who have been entrusted with this service), the power to overcome the evil spirit.

I bless you all.
